General Facts

|
Kenyan sand boas are small boa species from East Africa. They are small snakes. Their adult males
are smaller than some pythons babies ! But make no mistake about it - they are powerful constrictors for their small size.
They are a very easy going. True, they don't feel like their famous mascular red-tailed boa constrictors, which are real power houses,
but when they hunt for food the snad boas can catch
a mouse with a blink of an eye !
With handling, Kenyan sand boas, Eryx colubrinus loveridgei, become very tame little snakes. They
like to burrow and don't require ellaborate set-ups. A small cage with one end heated, an inch or two of suitable substrate
and w water bowl is all they need !
